I read about the Golden Ears CD serie in a finnish Hi-Fi magazine's news, and since the idea behind Golden Ears is very interesting, I came to have a look at these dedicated webpages.

Great Site !!! I'm a television engineer and just wanted to say that I have relished your artcles in TV technology. Your down to earth treatment of highly complex issues are a real pleasure to read. I have learned alot. Please keep them coming.

Stumbled on this site by swinging link to link... I have concluded Dave Moulton is the "Buckaroo; Bonzai" of audio! Amazing guy - an inspiration on par with Bob Katz. as we say around NYC "You;...Beeautifull!"

Hello Dave, I will take this opportunity to thank you for sharing your vast knowledge with us to hone our skills as audio engineers and help us understand exactly what it is we do and how it works.
As well, I have been working with your 'Golden Ears' CD's and have found them to be the absolute best way to grasp the complex world of audio. As a matter of fact they are one of the learning tools used in the Audio Engineering course I attended at Fanshawe College here in London. They were recommended by Producer Jack Richardson (The Guess Who, Bob Seger, Alice Cooper to name a few) who now teaches there. I am also looking forward to reading your ' Total Recording ' encyclopedia which I am sure wil become a permanent fixture in the studio. (Rumor has that this will be a Fathers day offering, hmmm..., think I'll accept !).
Again, thanks for audibly tuning us in. Health, happiness and take care.
PS - looking forward to the ALT monitoring to go into production!
PSS - Just like to say hi to a friend 1000 miles away in Kenora , Ontario, Canada who I noticed also visited this site. Hello Warren Longe, is the ice off the lakes yet!

I enjoyed your review of the Mikrodigi microphone. It's nice to find someone who is an engineer as well as an aesthete. Keep up the fascinating work!

Enjoyed your May 2, '01 TV Technology article, and am looking forward to the next installments!Audio handling is the least understood and most abused part of our interactive video networks, small & large conference rooms, auditoriums, etc., and it will be great to get more information about this seemingly standardized yet misunderstood component: the loudspeaker SYSTEM.

I read your article in the May 2, 2001 issue of TV Technology with interest. I too am very concerned about accuracy in sound reproduction. It seems compact loudspeakers are quite in vogue these days. Check out my informational website at
http://home.switchboard.com/fluepipeacoustics
The results of my four years of independent research in the subject of Flue Pipe Acoustics led to a number of patents on two new classes of high power outdoor warning devices which have a number of advantages over current warning sirens. The latest use of this research has gone into the greater understanding and improvement of transmission line loudspeakers, which, of course are governed by the same physical laws as flue organ pipes. I now build a home and pro line of these under the name of Accucoustics. Visit our site at the URL listed above.
